Jakob S. Weitz earned Political Science and English degrees from Loyola Marymount University before obtaining his J.D. from Loyola Law School, where he was a certified law clerk in the Long Beach District Attorney’s office and a published author in Loyola’s International Law Review Journal. He is licensed to practice in California and is a member of CAALA.
Since joining KJF as a civil litigator, Jakob has represented clients in a wide range of industries, including taking on the California Contractors State Licensing Board on behalf of creditors in a mandamus proceeding, for which he co-authored an article featured in the Daily Journal. He has also given presentations on California Mechanic’s Lien laws and the impact of significant creditor legislation. Jakob specializes in law & motion practice and enjoys mentoring in KJF’s law clerk program.
Out of the office, Jakob enjoys traveling, cycling, and tennis.
